Senior DevOps Engineer (AI)

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States. Flexible hybrid work environment with offices in Reston, VA and Austin, TX. Applicants must meet U.S. Government trade-regulation eligibility requirements.

What you will do

• Design, architect, and operate highly available, multi-tenant Kubernetes platforms across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Own the networking stack, including CNI, service mesh, ingress, DNS, load balancing, and network policies.
• Operate production PostgreSQL and OpenSearch clusters, covering availability, performance, backups, and recovery.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management with platform and delivery standards.
• Enforce security practices covering RBAC, secrets management, vulnerability patching, FIPS, FedRAMP, and STIGs.
• Lead incident response and post-mortems while addressing scalability and reliability risks.

Requirements

• Active U.S. DoD Top Secret clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations is required.
• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or DevOps supporting large-scale distributed systems.
• 5+ years of Kubernetes experience, including cluster architecture, multi-tenancy, RBAC, scheduling, security, and autoscaling across cloud and bare-metal environments.
• Experience with hybrid infrastructure across on-premises, edge, AWS, Azure, and OCI; proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Kustomize.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, and Bash, plus experience with Kubernetes networking, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, storage, and cloud-native observability.
