Senior Financial Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Foster City, California, United States; hybrid role requiring at least 3 days per week in the office. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $129,200–$206,700 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Support revenue operations for the Authorize.net business and collaborate with analysts, sales teams, external clients, and internal partners.
• Oversee aging statements, write-off and escheatment cycles, pricing updates, cash applications, and billing-dispute resolution.
• Analyze billing-system changes, large datasets, and potential impacts on merchants and partners using SQL and Tableau.
• Support implementation of a new billing and financial system by auditing production data and testing system functionality.
• Oversee audits, revenue-operations processes, journal entries, balance-sheet reconciliations, and 1099 preparation and filing.
• Manage business projects, update processes and SOPs, and drive billing-system enhancements and process improvements.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or at least 2 years with an advanced degree, or 0 years with a PhD.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to analyze large amounts of data and present conclusions to management.
• Understanding of revenue-recognition policies, practices, systems, and internal controls.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, project-management, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle or a similar ERP system.
• Experience with Salesforce.com.
• SQL and other database experience.
• Payment-industry experience.
