Security Systems Technician (Unlicensed)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts — 100% onsite

Salary: $48.99–$51.56 per hour

What you will do

• Install, troubleshoot, service, maintain, and repair integrated security system field devices, including card readers, door position switches, magnetic locks, electric strikes, control panels, and emergency alarms.
• Install and maintain closed-circuit camera systems, including analog, PTZ, IP-based cameras, encoders, and digital video management systems.
• Repair and replace mechanical door hardware such as mortise and cylindrical locks, door closers, operators, and hinges.
• Cut keys and install lock cores when required.
• Complete assigned work orders and preventive maintenance orders while providing strong customer service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience installing and maintaining physical security hardware and systems.
• Ability to obtain a security technician license.
• Valid driver's license and sufficient manual dexterity to use trade tools.
• Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, multitasking, reliability, and customer-service skills.
• Must pass initial and regular criminal background screening.

Nice to have

• Vocational or technical training in electrical, security, or computer systems.
• Experience with CCURE access control systems.
