Vice President, Lender Finance, Underwriting (Structured Finance)

Location: Chevy Chase, Maryland, United States; hybrid workplace with work primarily conducted in an office setting

Salary: $160,000–$180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

What you will do

• Analyze, evaluate, structure, and close asset-based loans across lender finance and fund finance strategies.
• Lead transaction due diligence, including market, industry, sponsor, loan, and investment analysis.
• Build financial models, sensitivity analyses, investment theses, approval memoranda, and draft term sheets.
• Present transactions and recommendations to the Bank’s Officers Loan Committee.
• Support origination activity and coordinate investment closings with operations.
• Monitor loan agreement compliance and manage ongoing borrower relationships with the portfolio management team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant financial services, investment banking, or lending experience.
• 5–6 years of fund finance or lender finance experience strongly preferred.
• Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of management experience preferred, including employee supervision, recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Strong financial modeling, financial statement analysis, accounting, finance, quantitative, and qualitative analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, plus strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
