Senior Manager, SAP Business Technology Platform AI Engineering (AI)

Base pay: $137,000–$236,325 per year

What you will do

• Lead SAP BTP AI Engineering for S/4HANA transformation programs across MedTech, Innovative Medicine, and Enterprise Finance.
• Define architecture, engineering standards, reusable services, and delivery frameworks for enterprise AI solutions on SAP BTP.
• Advance the ERP AI software development lifecycle across requirements, architecture, coding, testing, security, deployment, documentation, and support.
• Drive adoption of SAP Business AI, Joule, Joule Agents, and AI-assisted software engineering to improve developer productivity and delivery quality.
• Build secure Generative AI and agentic AI capabilities, including RAG, tool calling, guardrails, observability, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Lead engineering teams and strategic partnerships while establishing KPIs for productivity, quality, automation, and value realization.

Requirements

• 12+ years of technology experience, including significant SAP engineering, enterprise platform, and large-scale transformation experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong experience with SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, enterprise application development, and SAP Business AI.
• Knowledge of Joule, Joule Agents, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and AI-assisted software engineering.
• Strong understanding of ABAP, RAP, CAP, Fiori/UI5, APIs, integrations, and BTP extension architectures.
• Proven experience leading SAP transformation programs, engineering teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders.

Nice to have

• SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, or AI/ML certifications.
• Experience with Joule for Developers, SAP AI Foundation, vector databases, knowledge graphs, multi-agent architectures, MCP/tool integration, AI evaluation, observability, and guardrails.
• Experience establishing enterprise AI engineering platforms, reusable AI services, developer productivity capabilities, and value-realization frameworks.
