Project Designer (Workplace Interiors)

Location: San Francisco, CA, US

Salary: $75,000–$95,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Develop, lead, and present workplace interior design concepts, including programming, visioning, space planning, and design development.
• Contribute across all design phases for workplace interiors and building renovation projects.
• Develop renderings, finish plans, elevations, material selections, and coordinated construction documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, vendors, furniture dealers, manufacturers, contractors, project managers, and internal teams.
• Participate in job site meetings, construction administration, RFI and submittal review, quality assurance, and technical reviews.
• Mentor junior design staff and develop practical solutions, pricing alternatives, and value-engineering options.

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably in workplace interiors.
• Advanced Revit skills for modeling and construction documentation.
• Proficiency with Enscape for 3D visualization and design communication.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, detailing, documentation standards, building codes, constructability, budgeting, and drawing set management.
• Strong project coordination, communication, organization, problem-solving, client-service, and relationship-management skills.
• Architectural or design certification/licensure is preferred but not required.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of relevant experience for Level II responsibilities, including design leadership on multiple small- to medium-sized projects.
• Familiarity with AI tools used in architectural design and documentation.
