TL;DR
Senior Mechanical Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing): Lead the development and integration of complex mechanical solutions for advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment with an accent on requirements definition, manufacturable design, testing, and validation. Focus on balancing performance, quality, cost, safety, and manufacturability, while managing technical risks and mentoring engineers.

Location: On-site in Wilton, Connecticut, United States. Travel may be required up to 10%.

Salary: $109,200–$150,150 gross annual base salary.

What you will do

  • Lead mechanical design and development for complex products, modules, and subsystems.
  • Define requirements, interfaces, specifications, and verification criteria for mechanical solutions.
  • Evaluate design options across performance, quality, cost, safety, and manufacturability.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities through product integration and project milestones.
  • Lead testing and validation to confirm performance, reliability, and release readiness.
  • Identify technical risks, develop mitigation plans, communicate recommendations, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
  • At least five years of experience in mechanical engineering, product development, or complex system design.
  • Experience leading technical projects or workstreams in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
  • Experience with mechanical CAD software, engineering drawings, product lifecycle documentation, design analysis, system integration, testing, and validation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English.
  • Legal authorization to access United States-controlled technology is required before starting work.

  • Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical guidance.
