Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; onsite role with travel up to 20% of the time

What you will do

  • Perform engineering analysis and troubleshoot moderately complex mechanical problems.
  • Design and modify mechanical layouts, schematics, drawings, and specifications.
  • Design and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and related processes.
  • Coordinate procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment, identifying critical parts and subsystems.
  • Enable the handling, assembly, and disassembly of components and assemblies throughout the product life cycle.
  • Prepare engineering test reports and alpha/gamma product-release documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 2–4 years of related experience.
  • Foundation in physics, mathematics, and materials science.
  • Experience or knowledge in mechanical engineering analysis and manufacturing processes.
  • Must work in Santa Clara, California, United States; travel up to 20% is required.

Nice to have

  • Working experience with CAD software.
  • Knowledge of thermodynamics, sheet metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, flow analysis, or Design for Excellence principles.
