Mechanical Engineer V (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Santa Clara, CA, United States. Travel: 10% of the time. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $163,000–$224,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and implement concepts for significantly complex product issues and engineering solutions.
• Lead or execute engineering projects and research and development of new technologies.
• Identify and troubleshoot complex engineering problems and perform or specify engineering analyses.
• Design, develop, and modify mechanical layouts, schematics, drawings, specifications, tooling, and related processes.
• Generate product specifications, define and document engineering tests, and review engineering documentation and processes.
• Coordinate with internal and external customers, manufacturing, installation, procurement, and assembly teams to resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10–15 years of experience required.
• Deep technical expertise in the relevant field and deep knowledge of the product life cycle required.
• In-depth knowledge of other disciplines within the function required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to explain difficult or sensitive information and build consensus.
