Machine Repair Technician III (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY, United States; domestic and international travel is required to support machine acquisitions and training.

Salary: $37.05–$44.75 per hour, plus a 10% shift differential for second- and third-shift employees.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and safely repair complex machinery, including advanced CNC equipment and precise multi-plane alignments.
• Maintain and repair production machinery at the hirify.global East Aurora site in a timely and effective manner.
• Support machine installations, preventive and predictive maintenance, material handling, rigging, forklift operation, and hazardous waste handling.
• Use Maximo CMMS to document work logs, inventory usage, and hours worked.
• Maintain computer skills as new software is introduced and stay current with machine technologies through OEM training.
• Travel domestically and internationally to support machine acquisitions and training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically, at least five years of experience as a repair technician, machinist, or in a related skilled-trades role, including CNC repair experience.
• Technical knowledge of complex CNC repairs, machine maintenance, installations, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in physically demanding and awkward ergonomic positions.
• Ability to follow safety standards including Lock-Out Tag-Out, NFPA 70E, and hazardous material handling procedures.
• Access to U.S. export-controlled information is required.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in electrical technologies or a related skilled-trades discipline.
• Experience as a CNC field service engineer or technician, lead CNC maintenance technician, or industrial controls specialist.
