TL;DR
Machine Repair Technician III - 1st Shift (Aerospace) (CNC and industrial maintenance): Maintaining and repairing advanced manufacturing machinery supporting aerospace and defense production with an accent on complex CNC, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control-system troubleshooting. Focus on precise equipment alignment, new machine installations, preventive and predictive maintenance, safety compliance, and supporting domestic and international training initiatives.

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY; domestic and international travel may be required to support machine acquisitions and training.

Salary: $37.05–$44.75 per hour

What you will do

  • Troubleshoot and safely repair complex machinery, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, control, and CNC systems.
  • Perform precise multi-plane equipment alignments, installations, preventive maintenance, and predictive maintenance.
  • Maintain and repair production machinery supporting hirify.global East Aurora operations.
  • Document work logs, inventory usage, and hours in the Maximo CMMS system.
  • Stay current with machine technologies, software, and OEM training.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to support machine acquisitions and training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Approximately five years of experience as a repair technician, machinist, or skilled-trades professional, including CNC repair experience.
  • Technical knowledge of complex CNC repairs, machine installations, maintenance, material handling, rigging, forklift operation, and hazardous-waste handling.
  • Ability to follow safety standards including Lockout/Tagout, NFPA 70E, and hazardous-material handling procedures.
  • Role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

  • Associate degree in Electrical Technologies or a related skilled-trades field.
  • Experience as a CNC field service engineer or technician, OEM or machine-tool distributor technician, lead CNC maintenance technician, or industrial-controls specialist.
