Senior Hardware Systems Engineer

What you will do

• Own the design, development, field validation, and deployment of complex hardware and firmware systems.
• Develop technical specifications from product requirements in collaboration with the hardware product team.
• Create and execute validation and acceptance test plans for internal systems and third-party hardware and firmware.
• Perform field failure analysis, root-cause investigation, and corrective actions.
• Drive embedded sensor functionality, including camera, radar, and sensor-fusion capabilities.
• Collaborate with firmware teams, original design manufacturers, commercial teams, and account teams to ensure product performance and customer business requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, electromechanical engineering, computer engineering, or an equivalent field.
• At least five years of relevant industry experience in a high-volume consumer electronics systems environment is preferred.
• Experience with schematics and PCB physical design using Cadence Concept, Allegro, or similar CAD tools.
• Hands-on laboratory experience with oscilloscopes, logic and protocol analyzers, and electronic loads.
• Experience working with firmware codebases, digital logic, simulation, power conversion and delivery, and high-speed serial and memory interfaces.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; scripting and command-line interface experience.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with RF and wireless concepts.
• Experience with CPU or GPU microarchitecture, batteries, power management, analog design, audio, DisplayPort, HDMI, PCIe, Thunderbolt, USB, SPI, I2C, UART, analog sensors, or interconnects.
• Experience with statistical data analysis and visualization tools such as JMP.
