Manager, Fleet Operations Training

Location: Foster City, California, United States; hybrid workplace with approximately 10–20% travel to operational sites

Zoox is building a purpose-built autonomous robotaxi and the fleet operations systems needed to keep it available, utilized, and safe.

What you will do

• Set the Fleet Operations training strategy and roadmap for hiring plans, new-market launches, and vehicle and software milestones.
• Own curriculum standards, assessments, certifications, learner-performance metrics, pass-rate monitoring, and recurring quality and safety retraining.
• Lead training across remote operations and ground operations, including e-learning, live facilitation, hands-on work, and vehicle-in-the-loop programs.
• Manage a distributed organization of training program managers, instructional designers, supervisors, trainers, and coordinators.
• Operate and scale the Docebo learning platform, including auto-enrollment, learning plans, certification mapping, integrations, and analytics.
• Build training infrastructure for new sites, report training health and launch risk, and travel to sites to audit delivery and support launches.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in operational training, enablement, or learning for a large operations workforce.
• 3+ years leading trainers, instructional staff, or training program managers as a people manager.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience training a large remote, contact-center, 24/7 operations workforce or a technical ground workforce such as maintenance, repair, field service, aviation MRO, or vehicle operations.
• Experience building blended, multi-site programs and administering an LMS at scale, including reporting, auto-enrollment, and certification tracking.
• Ability to operate in a safety-critical, regulated, fast-changing environment and influence senior operational, safety, workforce, and technical partners.

Nice to have

• CPTM, ATD/CPLP, PMP, or a similar training or program-management certification.
• Autonomous vehicle, robotics, aviation, or other safety-critical operations experience.
• Instructional design and SCORM or Rise 360 authoring experience.
• Quality assurance, contact-center workforce management, simulation-based training, or contingent workforce experience.
• Experience with Google Workspace, Slack, and BI or Looker-style training analytics.
