Instructional Designer

Location: Hybrid position based at The Edge Learning Center, 1212 10th Street, Plano, TX 75074, United States. Occasional travel is required, estimated at less than 20%.

What you will do

• Design and develop instructor-led, virtual, blended, and self-paced learning experiences, curricula, assessments, facilitator guides, job aids, and performance support tools.
• Create role-based learning paths and structured learning journeys aligned with business needs.
• Partner with subject matter experts, facilitators, HR, and business leaders to identify learning needs, define objectives, and measure outcomes.
• Lead content planning, review, and revision cycles to keep learning materials accurate, relevant, and scalable.
• Use interactive and experiential learning strategies, multimedia, authoring tools, AI, and emerging technologies to improve engagement and on-the-job application.
• Support LMS content, completion tracking, digital course maintenance, stakeholder training, troubleshooting, and in-person learning logistics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, HR, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience designing and developing learning solutions in a corporate, educational, or training environment.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design methods, and learning evaluation practices.
• Experience creating instructor-led, virtual, blended, and self-paced programs, including assessments, learner activities, facilitator guides, and job aids.
• Strong project management, organization, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Availability for occasional travel, currently estimated at less than 20%.

Nice to have

• Certification in Instructional Design, Learning Experience Design, Talent Development, or a related field.
• Experience with Articulate Storyline, Rise, Vyond, Camtasia, Canva, Adobe Acrobat, or Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Workday Learning or another LMS.
• Experience developing role-based learning paths or competency-based curricula.
• Familiarity with learner analytics, survey data, AI-enabled tools, and emerging learning technologies.
