Recruiter, Leadership and Specialized Searches

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States

Salary: $175,000–$220,000 annually, plus benefits, equity if applicable, and bonus if applicable.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end searches for Director, VP, and executive-level leadership roles.
• Partner with executives and hiring leaders to define leadership profiles, competencies, and search strategies.
• Lead market research, target-company strategy, organizational mapping, and identification of both obvious and adjacent talent pools.
• Engage passive leadership candidates through personalized outreach and assess their scope, trajectory, impact, motivations, and alignment.
• Translate market intelligence on talent availability, compensation, organizational structures, and tradeoffs into actionable recommendations.
• Drive disciplined, confidential search processes from kickoff and candidate development through interviews, references, compensation discussions, and closing.

Requirements

• 6+ years of recruiting, executive search, or executive talent research experience with meaningful exposure to leadership hiring.
• Experience in executive search or in-house leadership recruiting within a high-growth technology company.
• Strong research, market-mapping, target-company strategy, and organizational-structure analysis skills.
• Experience owning or materially contributing to Director, VP, and/or C-level searches.
• Ability to synthesize market information, assess leadership scope and impact, and advise senior stakeholders.
• Strong judgment, discretion, investigative instincts, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive approach to building talent markets.
