Plant HR Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Johnstown, New York, United States; onsite plant role

Salary: $107,514.38–$153,208.01 per year; 15% annual bonus target

What you will do

• Administer human resources policies, procedures, reporting, and compliance programs for the plant.
• Recruit, interview, select, and onboard employees, including new-hire orientation and HRIS data entry.
• Manage employee relations matters, investigations, performance reviews, listening sessions, and training.
• Support workplace safety through committee participation, facility walk-throughs, accident investigations, and insurance reports.
• Review and submit payroll, maintain FLSA compliance, and assist management with union avoidance activities.
• Provide strategic input on departmental projects, talent planning, continuous improvement, and change management.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in human resources or a similar manufacturing environment.
• At least 6 years of experience in the position or a comparable role.
• At least 4 years of experience managing people or projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions, analyze complex information, manage change, and resolve conflicts.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required for the plant-based role.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of experience in human resources or a similar manufacturing environment.
• 6 years of experience managing people or projects.
• Master’s degree in business administration or a related field.
• PHR or SPHR certification.
• Native or bilingual proficiency in a foreign language.
