Senior Engineering Manager, Security Products

Location: Sunnyvale, California; on-site work required. Remote work is not available.

Salary: $207,000–$275,000 base salary per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, hire, and develop the Identity and Integrations Products engineering team.
• Define the technical vision, roadmap, priorities, and execution strategy with Product Managers and Security Products leadership.
• Own reliability and operational excellence for high-scale services, including availability, latency, incident response, change management, and capacity planning.
• Establish secure development, architecture review, operational readiness, and sustainable delivery practices.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, networking, platform, cloud operations, product, and customer engineering teams.
• Work with customers and technology partners to understand integration requirements, plan rollouts, and resolve complex integration issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years managing complex functions or multiple related engineering teams, including strategy, execution, staffing, and engineering quality.
• Experience operating high-scale services with 99.95%+ availability and 10K RPS or greater, including observability, SLOs, incident management, post-incident reviews, capacity planning, and release safety.
• Strong technical judgment in ambiguous environments and the ability to turn long-term strategy into practical execution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including influencing across organizational boundaries and working with customers or partners.
• Willingness to work on-site in Sunnyvale, California; this role is not remote.
• Access to export-controlled information requires U.S. person status, eligibility without export authorization, or eligibility and reasonable likelihood of obtaining the required authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience building security products or platforms for enterprise, regulated, or security-sensitive customers.
• Experience with identity, key management, encryption, secrets management, confidential computing, or security integrations.
• Experience partnering with external customers, technology partners, or security reviewers.
• Experience leading greenfield products from early architecture through production adoption.
