Executive Recruiter (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own executive recruiting end-to-end for C-level, Board, and VP+ mandates across the Payward platform.
• Partner directly with Co-CEOs and the executive team to align hiring with business strategy.
• Manage external search partner strategy, including retained firms and spend control.
• Define and scale executive hiring as a shared service across multiple brands.
• Handle highly confidential searches, sensitive succession planning, and market intelligence.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area due to proximity requirements for executives and board mandates.
• 6+ years of executive recruiting experience with a track record of closing VP and C-level searches.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to pitch complex platform businesses to executive candidates.
• Expertise in executive-level negotiation, offer construction, and compensation complexity.
• Exceptional written and verbal English at an executive register.
• Proven ability to operate with high discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Nice to have

• In-house executive recruiting experience within fintech, brokerage, or payments.
• Background in a retained executive search firm.
• Experience building executive recruiting as a shared service across multiple entities.
• Exposure to crypto or digital assets.
