Location: Remote due to travel, with preference for candidates living in or near Fort Wayne, Indiana; Beason, Illinois; Grover Hill, Ohio; or Roanoke, Virginia. Daily travel is required, ranging from 60% to 80%, with occasional overnight stays. Approved work locations are limited to the United States; international work locations and the listed unapproved states are excluded. Remote work locations require final approval, and relocation to an approved work location may be required at the candidate's expense.
Salary: $87,633–$109,543 annually.

What you will do
- Coordinate environmental compliance programs, permits, policies, and safety and health programs for assigned wind and solar regions, facilities, and projects.
- Advise management and personnel on environmental, safety, health, and public safety requirements.
- Prepare and deliver environmental, safety, and health training and conduct observations and coaching.
- Support environmental, safety, and health audits, inspections, documentation, and regulatory records.
- Respond to regulated substance releases and discharges, including agency notifications, contractor coordination, cleanup direction, and follow-up reporting.
- Support post-event safety and health causal analysis and promote event-prevention programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in safety, health, industrial hygiene, environmental sciences, or a related field; alternatively, an associate degree with four years of power plant or utility field operations experience, or a high school diploma/GED with six years of relevant experience.
- At least four years of environmental, safety, and health program administration or power plant and utility field operations experience.
- Advanced understanding of OSHA regulations, safe electrical work practices, lockout/tagout, GWO standards, confined-space procedures, hazardous materials transportation, spill response, water management, pollution prevention, and wildlife conservation policies.
- Valid driver's license, proficient oral and written communication skills, and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently, maintain a flexible schedule, travel frequently, climb a 300-foot ladder, and work on elevated platforms. The employee must weigh no more than 265 pounds because of climbing safety equipment limitations.
