Sourcing Category Lead – Americas Indirect (Procurement)

Location: The Woodlands, Texas, USA; hybrid schedule with 4 days in the office and 1 day from home.

What you will do

• Implement indirect procurement category strategies in Spanish-speaking LATAM and across the Americas using a seven-step strategic sourcing methodology.
• Analyze business requirements, cost drivers, supplier capabilities, and market trends to develop sourcing strategies.
• Build stakeholder relationships across the Americas and support continuous improvement.
• Negotiate and manage supply agreements and contracts, including creation, approval, storage, and maintenance.
• Lead supplier relationship management initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and approved supplier requirements.
• Support integration and collaborative savings initiatives related to mergers and acquisitions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business, finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of related industry experience.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
• Experience negotiating contracts in the United States and LATAM.
• Unrestricted right to work for hirify.global in the United States.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, contract management, collaboration, and stakeholder relationship skills; willingness to travel internationally up to 20%.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or procurement certifications such as C.P.M., CPSM, CPSD, CPCM, or CCCM.
• Experience with indirect categories such as travel, MRO, CAPEX, and facility services in petrochemical or heavy industrial environments.
• Knowledge of TCO initiatives, VMI, consignment, buy-back programs, supplier-base rationalization, and sustainability initiatives.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP, Ariba, Excel, and PowerBI.
• Working knowledge of Portuguese.
