Supplier Quality Engineer

What you will do

• Support supplier selection with quality data, conduct supplier audits, and assess supplier capability and risk.
• Lead cross-functional product and process qualification activities in line with applicable standards.
• Manage and optimize supplier quality processes while coaching suppliers on hirify.global quality tools and requirements.
• Initiate supplier improvement programs, perform root cause analysis, and track risk mitigation effectiveness.
• Coordinate design reviews between Supplier Quality Management, suppliers, and design engineers, supporting localization and cost-reduction efforts.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.

Requirements

• Fluent English and strong communication and presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least five years of experience in a technical field and/or supply chain.
• Experience with supplier qualification, product and process qualification, and technical supplier development.
• Knowledge of welding and coating; CWI certification is preferred, while NACE, AMPP, or FROSIO certification is desired.
• Familiarity with ISO and ASME standards, root cause analysis, quality management, risk management, and project leadership.

Nice to have

• Project management experience.
• Lead Auditor experience or certification.
• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
