Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Eagle, Wisconsin, USA; plant-based role with regular standing, walking, and occasional travel

What you will do

• Manage internal and external supplier quality issues for the assigned production plant.
• Lead supplier problem resolution, including containment, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and 8D investigations.
• Support New Product Introduction and Global Sourcing with supplier launch readiness, PPAP projects, part fit-up evaluation, and APQP activities.
• Conduct supplier audits, evaluate performance, develop action plans, and identify supplier development opportunities.
• Manage supplier change requests and quality issues involving purchased parts and sister-facility components.
• Execute the Material Review Board process for rejected supplier parts in collaboration with Materials, Manufacturing, and Planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in a Supplier Quality Engineer role with an OEM company.
• 3–5 years of experience in plant-based Quality Assurance or supplier quality.
• At least 2 years of experience with PPAP procedures, APQP, Control Plans, PFMEA, and ISO.
• Experience working in a production plant with assembly processes.
• Ability to work at the Eagle, Wisconsin plant, including standing, walking, computer-based work, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience with international companies and matrix organizations.
• Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, or Certified Quality Auditor credentials.
• Experience using SAP or an equivalent ERP system.
