Hardware Reliability Engineer (Hardware Reliability)

Location: Lübeck, Germany; regular onsite presence required with some flexibility for remote work

What you will do

• Plan and execute reliability test programs, including HALT, ALT, vibration, and thermal cycling, from setup and instrumentation through documented conclusions.
• Lead root cause analysis for electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical failures.
• Drive DFMEA activities in new product development teams, track mitigations, and close them with engineering evidence.
• Maintain and improve the FRACAS process, analyzing field, warranty, and service data to identify engineering improvements.
• Assess component and assembly lifetimes and work with suppliers on reliability requirements and qualification data.
• Document findings and recommendations and contribute as an accountable reliability engineering resource on cross-functional programs.

Requirements

• Degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Hands-on experience running reliability tests, disassembling hardware, performing failure analysis, and identifying root causes.
• Working knowledge of FMEA/DFMEA, FRACAS, Weibull analysis, and accelerated life testing.
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Python, or similar, with the ability to draw defensible engineering conclusions from field and test data.
• Structured, ownership-oriented problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Clear, factual communication in English required.
