Junior Scrum Master

Location: Lisbon, Portugal

What you will do

• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, demos, and backlog refinement.
• Support and coach teams in applying Agile, Scrum, and SAFe principles and practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain prioritized backlogs aligned with business priorities.
• Identify, track, and help remove impediments while escalating risks, blockers, and cross-team dependencies.
• Monitor and report team progress, sprint goals, and delivery outcomes.
• Support cross-team ceremonies and Program Increment planning aligned with Agile Release Train objectives.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, especially Scrum and the Scaled Agile Framework.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Professional English proficiency is required for translating technology content into business language.
• Ability to work effectively with global virtual teams and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Practitioner, or similar certification.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Agile events, backlog refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, and retrospectives.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, security monitoring, SIEM tools, and security event analysis.
