Freedom Boat Club - NEW Dock Master (Marine Recreation)

Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States; onsite work in a marina and on fixed or floating docks

Pay: $19 per hour

What you will do

• Lead daily dock operations, prioritize work, delegate tasks, and maintain operational standards.
• Oversee fleet readiness, including vessel cleanliness, fueling, equipment functionality, and presentation.
• Coordinate staffing, shift coverage, onboarding, training, coaching, and development for Dock Hands.
• Manage Fleetio tasks, inventory tracking, fuel records, checklists, and operational documentation.
• Address member concerns, provide service recovery, and escalate complex issues to the Dock Experience Manager.
• Maintain safe, clean, compliant, and operationally ready docks, facilities, equipment, and vessels.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and age 21 or older.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, background and education check, and drug screen.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with a positive, cooperative attitude.
• Ability to perform minor boat maintenance, read and use handheld tablets, and follow safety policies.
• Ability to bend, kneel, balance, work near and on the water, and carry equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays in varying outdoor weather conditions.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or vocational degree, or 1–2 years of related operations experience.
• Team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Boating Safety ID card and experience in and around boats.
• Strong attention to detail.
