Assistant Club Manager (Retail)

Location: Bowie, Maryland, United States; onsite

Salary: $69,500–$86,750 per year. The position also offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Provide leadership for assigned Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience departments and support daily club operations.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, certify, coach, and develop team members and future leaders.
• Plan labor and schedules according to business trends, sales patterns, operational needs, and budget targets.
• Drive sales, inventory accuracy, product availability, shrink control, and member service standards.
• Ensure clean, stocked, safe, and operationally ready departments while maintaining GOLD, GAA, and LAST standards.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed and take responsibility for club operations, team leadership, and member engagement.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations manager.
• Leadership experience managing or supervising cross-functional teams, training employees, and communicating results.
• Knowledge of shrink control, staff development, merchandising, customer service, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and store operations.
• Basic knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and email; excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a large team.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe certification. Forklift operation is required, and yearly forklift certification may be required.
• Open-shift availability, regular full attendance, and age 18 or older are required. A high school diploma and/or college degree is preferred.
