Finishing Team Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Painesville, Ohio, USA; standard hours are 9:30 PM–7:00 AM, Monday–Friday, with flexibility to connect with second- and third-shift teams.

Salary: $75,000–$100,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead daily finishing activities for approximately 20 hourly team members, including mentoring, counseling, performance management, and corrective actions.
• Maintain and improve safety, quality, service, cost, efficiency, and workplace culture on the night shift.
• Facilitate department Tier I reviews, update performance metrics, and drive daily improvement actions.
• Conduct safety audits, investigate accidents and near misses, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Identify root causes and implement countermeasures for downtime, delays, quality defects, and other operational issues.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Process Engineering while maintaining accurate shift production reports and communicating downtime issues.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including delegation, teamwork, and performance management.
• Ability to troubleshoot operational problems, identify root causes, and implement lasting solutions.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills for working with a diverse workforce.
• Ability to prioritize work, make timely decisions, and create a collaborative team environment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma, ISO 9000, TS 16949, or project management.
