Quality Specialist (Solar Construction)

Location: Full-time onsite jobsite in Flagstaff, Arizona, with frequent travel to active solar project sites within the assigned region.

Salary: $73,104–$91,380 per year.

What you will do

• Conduct random sampling inspections across civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical definable features of work.
• Verify installations against project specifications, engineering drawings, and standards including NEC, IEEE, and ASTM.
• Photograph and document discrepancies, maintain inspection logs, and prepare Non-Conformance Reports.
• Analyze inspection results and variance trends to support corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Communicate findings to site managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and regional and corporate quality teams.
• Support field personnel onboarding and training on quality procedures and expectations.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in solar EPC or utility-scale construction quality control.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and QA/QC protocols.
• Familiarity with solar installation methods and applicable industry standards.
• Proficiency with inspection tools, reporting software, and digital documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently in field environments and travel frequently.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with NCR workflows and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
• Strong organizational skills and experience working in fast-paced, multi-site environments.
