Manufacturing Test Development Engineer Co-op (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Beverly, Massachusetts, United States. The six-month co-op runs from July 6 to December 18, with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. schedule.

Salary: $20.42–$35.70 per hour. A $1,000 travel stipend is paid as a lump sum in the first paycheck.

What you will do

• Design, build, validate, and maintain electrical and mechanical manufacturing test solutions, automated test equipment, and custom fixtures.
• Apply manual, subtractive, and additive manufacturing techniques to meet fixture design and performance requirements.
• Analyze test data to identify failure modes, root causes, and process variations.
• Debug test systems at the hardware level, including instrumentation and interfaces.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, design, process, and quality engineering teams on fixture requirements.
• Create test documentation, procedures, and reports while supporting improvements to test coverage, throughput, and repeatability.

Requirements

• Candidate for a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a similar field.
• Familiarity with modeling tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with schematic and PCB design tools such as Altium, KiCad, or QElectroTech.
• Familiarity with fabrication tools including calipers, hand tools, and 3D printers.
• Familiarity with DMMs, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition systems.
• Experience with project management tools such as Gantt charts and Microsoft Project or Planner.
