Test Engineering Internship (Mechanical/Electrical Testing)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global campus, Pella, Iowa, USA (Shop 48)

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and implement testing sequences and instrumentation procedures for engineering prototypes.
• Perform instrumented and cyclic testing to verify production-level reliability standards.
• Document test procedures and results accurately and professionally.
• Help determine test durations, duty cycles, and methods for reproducing field conditions.
• Fabricate, disassemble, and reassemble test parts and units.
• Inspect components for defects and support production efforts with engineers and other departments.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• High school diploma required.
• Ability to operate an oscilloscope, soldering station, drill press, hand drill, hand tools, and VOM meter.
• Ability to conduct new product testing, interpret test results, and draw conclusions from supporting data.
• Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to create accurate, professional, error-free documents.
• Ability to work professionally with customers, coworkers, engineers, and other departments.
