Software Engineer II (Java/React)

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and implement software solutions aligned with client requirements and organizational standards.
• Optimize existing systems and codebases for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver robust software solutions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and minimize disruption to operations and user experience.
• Conduct code reviews, apply secure coding standards, and contribute to architecture discussions.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with React, Angular, Spring Boot, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.
• Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
