Operations Safety Specialist (Logistics)

Location: 45 DI POCE WAY, Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada; onsite position. Monday–Friday, 15:00–23:30. Temporary assignment for up to four months.

What you will do

• Deliver safety education, orientation, training, and programs across the local operating site.
• Observe operations and inspect work areas to identify hazards, determine root causes, and support corrective actions.
• Coach operations supervisors on package-handler engagement and behavior-based learning programs.
• Lead safety segments of operational meetings and present safety performance to building management.
• Conduct incident investigations and coordinate yard safety improvements across transportation and hub or station operations.
• Support safety and health agency inspections and maintain relationships with regulatory and enforcement agencies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least six months of experience in instructor-led training, field operations, or a related area.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety and workers’ compensation is an asset.
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health and Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
• For positions requiring driving as a core competency, a valid driver’s licence and an acceptable driving record are required.
