Sourcing Specialist (Electrical Manufacturing)

Location: 100% onsite in Franklin, Tennessee, United States; remote work is not offered. Occasional travel to suppliers or hirify.global facilities may be required.

What you will do

• Support sourcing activities focused on cost, quality, delivery, inventory, and business continuity.
• Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard manufacturing suppliers.
• Assist with supplier negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, lead times, order quantities, stocking agreements, and supply commitments.
• Maintain supplier relationships, resolve issues, and track supplier performance, scorecards, and corrective actions.
• Analyze supplier pricing, capacity, market trends, demand signals, and supply risks to support sourcing recommendations.
• Partner with Procurement, Planning, Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Finance on production needs, cost reduction, localization, and supply chain reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or supplier management within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with supplier communication, sourcing activities, pricing analysis, supplier performance, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Knowledge of manufacturing supply chains, supplier lead times, material planning, cost drivers, and production support.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, follow-up, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Excel, and supplier performance reporting tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with electrical equipment, power distribution, switchgear, industrial manufacturing, or engineered-to-order manufacturing.
• Experience with supplier development, localization, Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and material flow concepts.
