TL;DR
Operating Engineer III (MedTech): Operating and maintaining utility systems supporting biologics pharmaceutical manufacturing and research and development equipment with an accent on corrective, emergency, and preventive maintenance. Focus on troubleshooting boilers, chillers, clean steam, HVAC, SCADA/HMI-controlled equipment, and mechanical utility systems during continuous day-shift operations.

Location: Onsite in Malvern, Pennsylvania, United States; continuous day shift from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

Compensation: $3,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

What you will do

  • Operate and maintain utility plant systems, including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, reverse osmosis, WFI stills, clean steam generators, air compressors, HVAC equipment, refrigeration, waste neutralization, and clean-in-place systems.
  • Complete corrective, emergency, and preventive maintenance on utility and manufacturing equipment.
  • Monitor operating conditions, interpret alarms and log readings, and respond to off-shift manufacturing and electrical system problems.
  • Use SCADA/HMI systems to supervise equipment and troubleshoot failures.
  • Repair mechanical equipment such as valves, pumps, and utility systems, as well as perform plumbing, pipefitting, and general building maintenance.
  • Document maintenance in CMMS and contribute to PM optimization, root cause analysis, FMEA, and non-conformance investigations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Trade or technical school certification, military MOS/AFSC/A/C School certificate, or equivalent technical training.
  • At least six years of related industrial experience in electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, instrumentation, or controls work.
  • Ability to work onsite in Malvern, Pennsylvania, and independently transport between various sites or locations.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including climbing, crouching, kneeling, crawling, and lifting at least 25 pounds in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Ability to use required PPE and maintain close, distance, color, and depth perception.
