Utilities Maintenance Technician - HVAC

Location: US - North Carolina - Holly Springs; onsite role supporting the ANC manufacturing site

Annual base salary: USD 71,326.90–96,501.10

hirify.global is a biotechnology company developing treatments and operating advanced drug substance manufacturing facilities, including the FleX Batch facility in Holly Springs.

What you will do

• Support the start-up and daily operation of plant utilities by providing HVAC technical expertise and guidance.
• Install, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, test, and document HVAC and utility equipment, including air-handling units, exhaust fans, biosafety cabinets, flow hoods, HEPA filters, cold rooms, freezers, and environmental control units.
• Perform inspections, equipment overhauls, pump and valve rebuilds or replacements, HVAC repairs, HEPA filter certification, and piping modifications.
• Oversee maintenance service providers and equipment vendors while reviewing and technically approving maintenance records and reports.
• Complete accurate work orders and quality and safety documentation in accordance with GMPs, SOPs, hirify.global policies, and planned schedules.
• Provide facility and manufacturing support through an on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of HVAC operations or maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC utility operations, mechanical maintenance, refrigeration systems, components, controls, and DX cooling.
• Demonstrated knowledge of HEPA testing and certification; EPA 608 Certification is preferred.
• Experience working in highly regulated cGMP environments and documenting maintenance work orders in a computerized maintenance management system.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, work with minimal direction, communicate task status, and collaborate constructively with peers and teams.

Nice to have

• Four or more years of combined education, training, and experience in HVAC utility operations and mechanical maintenance.
• Working knowledge of local and national building code requirements.
