Calibration Specialist

Location: Melrose Park, Illinois, United States; onsite facility work

Hourly rate: $25.50–$35.00 per hour

What you will do

• Calibrate and maintain analytical laboratory instruments according to site SOPs.
• Coordinate on-site and off-site vendor calibration services and review vendor calibration documentation.
• Maintain accurate calibration, maintenance, and repair records in compliance with cGMP and cGLP requirements.
• Prepare and revise instrument calibration and preventive maintenance SOPs.
• Distribute monthly calibration schedules to operations, production management, and department supervisors.
• Troubleshoot and repair instruments, support equipment selection, and maintain metrology standards, tools, and audit documentation.

Requirements

• Associate degree in electronics or a science-related field, or equivalent practical experience, strongly preferred.
• At least one year of relevant work experience, ideally in a regulated environment.
• Formal Military PMEL training is preferred.
• Effective spoken and written English is required for understanding policies, procedures, training materials, and workplace communications.
• Ability to work onsite at the Melrose Park facility and comply with health, safety, environmental, energy, and quality management requirements.
