Senior Controls Engineer (Mechatronics)

What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of advanced control solutions for complex mechatronic modules.
• Translate product needs into requirements, specifications, interfaces, verification plans, and qualification plans.
• Develop control concepts, evaluate feasibility, and select practical engineering approaches and technologies.
• Create models, simulations, technical documentation, test methods, and detailed designs.
• Integrate subsystems, investigate performance issues, and recommend improvements based on test results.
• Coordinate technical work across engineering teams, suppliers, customers, and project partners while managing technical, schedule, quality, and safety risks.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, controls engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of relevant experience developing controls for complex mechatronic or electromechanical systems.
• Experience leading technical work and advising engineering leaders or project managers.
• Strong knowledge of control theory, system dynamics, modeling, simulation, integration, and testing.
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or comparable engineering and data-analysis tools.
• Legal authorization to access United States-controlled technology is required before starting work.
