Produce Lead Full Time (Retail)

Location: Westbury, NY; onsite position in a club environment.

Salary: $20.50–$25.63 per hour.

What you will do

• Lead daily produce department operations while maintaining freshness, quality, accurate labeling, and merchandising standards.
• Monitor inventory, execute replenishment and FIFO rotation, and optimize stocking based on product movement, seasonal trends, and member purchasing habits.
• Inspect produce cases, coolers, and freezers and maintain department equipment through regular cleaning and maintenance.
• Track sales, waste, and shrink data to identify process improvements and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Support promotional execution, receiving and shipment inspections, inventory audits, and cross-department operations.
• Respond to member needs, reinforce service standards, and escalate operational or equipment concerns to management.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in produce operations, grocery retail, or food handling.
• Strong knowledge of produce handling, quality standards, food safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Valid ServSafe Food Safety Certification required and must be maintained in good standing.
• Ability to analyze data, identify process improvements, and work with basic computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
• Must be at least 18 years old and maintain all required training and certifications.
• Ability to stand and move frequently, lift up to 30 pounds regularly, and work around refrigerated areas, cleaning agents, and produce-related allergens.
