Senior Customer Engineer (AI)

Location: Distributed; hybrid, with the available location listed as Los Angeles, California

Salary: $202,000–$278,000 estimated annual salary for California-based hires outside San Francisco, including on-target incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, design bespoke enterprise architectures, and deliver product demonstrations and Proofs of Concept.
• Support technical onboarding and implementation across hirify.global Security, Networking, and Developer Platforms.
• Own customer technical relationships, including adoption, health monitoring, risk management, renewals, and expansion.
• Carry variable quota responsibility and identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities using product usage data.
• Lead technical Quarterly Business Reviews and translate platform capabilities into measurable business value for executive stakeholders.
• Use AI agents and internal platforms to automate RFP responses, security questionnaires, sandbox provisioning, and telemetry monitoring.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineering.
• Broad expertise in web security, networking, routing, DNS, DDoS mitigation, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
• Experience in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment, with knowledge of SaaS metrics and enterprise sales cycles.
• Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate with C-suite executives.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement associated with Los Angeles, California.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workers AI, AI Gateway, Vectorize, or other parts of hirify.global’s developer and AI ecosystem.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages for integration scripts, API connectors, and edge functions.
