Senior Sales Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote in Northern California, United States; the role requires frequent field work and travel.

Salary: $145,000–$160,000 base salary annually, plus bonus or commissions.

What you will do

• Build business cases and technical differentiation for enterprise sales opportunities.
• Educate customers, partners, and partner technical sales teams on networking and security solutions.
• Create presentations, demonstrations, webinars, proofs of concept, and other pre-sales engineering content.
• Design solution architectures and diagrams showing integrations with other vendors.
• Use AI-enabled tools to accelerate technical discovery, tailor demonstrations and POCs, analyze customer environments, and communicate the value of AI-driven networking and security.
• Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and collaborate with account managers and field sales teams.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, IPv4/IPv6, and UNIX administration.
• Experience in cloud or security environments and working knowledge of at least one of AWS, Azure, VMware, Kubernetes, HBSS, next-generation firewalls, TIPS, IPS/IDS, or DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices and direct experience with at least one security product.
• DDI experience covering DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication, and independent-work skills.
• Bachelor’s degree; frequent field work and travel are required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI-powered security solutions and productivity tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or Glean.
• CCSP, CISSP, CASP, CySA, or CEH certification.
