Data Center Technician - Quincy, WA

Location: Quincy, WA, United States; 100% onsite. The role includes up to 10% travel to other data center locations and requires responding to on-site equipment failures or emergencies within 60 minutes during scheduled on-call shifts.

Salary: $65,000–$83,000 base salary per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Maintain data center operations to meet service availability and reliability targets.
• Diagnose and repair hardware, networking, and software failures, including root cause analysis.
• Assemble, install, update, and maintain server and networking equipment.
• Develop scripts for updating server and networking hardware.
• Provide technical support and training to data center teams.
• Maintain inventory, documentation, test equipment, and tools.

Requirements

• Experience troubleshooting and assembling computer hardware.
• Experience with the Linux operating system.
• Availability for a flexible schedule in a 24/7 environment and participation in a rotating on-call shift.
• Ability to lift and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs and work in cramped, elevated, hot, and cold aisle environments ranging from 60°F to 90°F.
• Strong time management, organizational, communication, prioritization, and rapid-response skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Quincy, WA and respond to on-site incidents within 60 minutes while on call.

Nice to have

• Data center or computer networking experience.
• Python, Bash, or other scripting language experience.
• Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field.
