Senior Accounting Manager

Location: Remote US

Target annual base salary: $200,000–$217,000 USD, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Own daily general-ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and inter-company transactions for three legal entities.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, financial statements, management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting support.
• Oversee cash management, treasury activities, banking relationships, and payment controls.
• Coordinate tax compliance, audit planning, supporting schedules, auditor requests, and resolution of audit findings.
• Maintain and strengthen controls, accounting policies, procedures, and documentation across nonprofit and for-profit entities.
• Improve and automate recurring accounting, reconciliation, reporting, and financial processes, including system implementations and integrations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience with ownership of general ledger, close, and financial reporting activities.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with both nonprofit and for-profit organizations.
• Experience supporting multiple legal entities, business units, or similarly complex organizational structures.
• Experience with treasury and cash flow management, tax compliance coordination, annual audits, and internal controls.
• Strong analytical, organizational, systems, and spreadsheet skills, with the ability to manage recurring deadlines independently.
• Ability to collaborate with Finance leadership, internal teams, external auditors, and tax advisors.

Nice to have

• CPA or equivalent accounting qualification.
• Experience with nonprofit accounting, grants, program-related investments, functional expense reporting, and Form 990.
• Experience with consolidated or combined financial reporting, multi-state tax compliance, complex treasury environments, or international entities.
