Senior Technical Program Manager (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the United States; occasional in-person work at an Affirm office may be required, and all new hires attend an in-person onboarding experience.

USA base pay range per year: $165,000–$225,000 for CA, WA, NY, NJ, and CT; $146,000–$206,000 for all other U.S. states.

What you will do

• Drive complex, multidisciplinary, high-visibility transformation and operational programs for technology teams.
• Coordinate engineering, product, analytics, design, and other cross-functional stakeholders around strategy, priorities, and key decisions.
• Implement lean processes and improve planning, delivery, decision-making, and continuous iteration.
• Establish data-driven operational frameworks to measure portfolio performance against OKRs and support investment decisions.
• Develop communication strategies, manage change requirements, risks, and dependencies, and establish tools and forums that improve clarity and efficiency.
• Identify systemic inefficiencies, experiment with improvements, and promote transparency, alignment, accountability, and adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 8 years of experience managing programs, processes, and change management in a technology-focused environment.
• Strong technical background and deep understanding of software development processes.
• Organized and strategic approach to collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage details while making tradeoff decisions.
• Strong stakeholder management across Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics, and other cross-functional teams.
• Track record of implementing frameworks at scale and building relationships in a remote-friendly culture.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consulting skills.
• Passion and drive to improve consumer finance.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in FinTech, Payments, or Commerce.
