Staff Localization Program Manager (AI Localization)

Location: Hybrid role based in New York, Sunnyvale, San Francisco, or Mountain View, United States; work is performed from home and a hirify.global office on select days.

Salary: $115,000–$186,000 annually, plus potential bonus, stock, benefits, and other applicable incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Scale LLM-driven and AI-first localization capabilities across global content experiences.
• Own the architecture and evolution of AI-enabled localization agentic systems, workflows, and operating models.
• Lead platform integrations, content routing, translation, evaluation, and quality validation.
• Develop automated approaches that improve localization efficiency, consistency, scalability, and time to market.
• Partner with Data Science, Engineering, Marketing Technology, and content teams on platform and AI initiatives.
• Track automation, quality, speed, cost efficiency, coverage, and adoption metrics to guide prioritization.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in localization, internationalization, language technology, AI-enabled content systems, or related program leadership.
• 5+ years leading complex, ambiguous, cross-functional programs as a senior individual contributor.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with translation management systems, machine translation, LLMs, NLP-based localization workflows, and AI-powered content operations.
• 3+ years building scalable localization and AI-enabled language systems, including automated quality evaluation frameworks and model-based approaches.
• Professional working proficiency in English and at least one additional language, with 3+ years applying both languages in a multilingual business environment.
• 3+ years using dashboards, SQL, or performance data to guide decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience managing localization budgets, vendors, and operational performance.
• Knowledge of CCMS, TMS, taxonomy, terminology, and metadata structures.
• Experience with MQM, QE, glossaries, style guides, platform migrations, system integrations, or large-scale content transformations.
• Strong communication and influencing skills across teams.
