Manager, Localization (YouTube)

Location: Glendale, California, United States

Salary: $95,500–$128,000 per year, plus potential bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end localization operations for Disney Entertainment’s YouTube content portfolio, from source asset intake through final delivery.
• Coordinate dubbing, subtitling, accessibility assets, translated metadata, titles, graphics, reviews, and quality control across multiple productions.
• Manage schedules, milestones, budgets, purchase orders, invoices, documentation, repositories, and delivery logs.
• Partner with Mastering, Creative, Publishing, Finance, Operations, Legal, regional stakeholders, and external vendors to resolve delivery and quality issues.
• Manage vendor bids, rate cards, work orders, service levels, performance reviews, escalations, and onboarding.
• Evaluate and pilot localization technologies, workflow automation, and LLMs for translation, subtitle generation, metadata localization, and quality assurance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in audiovisual localization, digital media operations, project management, post-production, or digital content production.
• Demonstrated knowledge of dubbing, subtitling, accessibility, metadata localization, localization scheduling, delivery workflows, and quality control.
• Experience managing multilingual localization projects, external vendors, bids, SLAs, budgets, purchase orders, invoicing, and stakeholder communications.
• Knowledge of digital video formats, media specifications, file-based workflows, and technical delivery standards.
• Experience with tools such as Airtable, Box, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Frame.io, or similar platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with global content distribution for streaming, broadcast, social, or digital platforms.
• Experience with MAM, DAM, localization management systems, subtitle authoring, localization QA tools, TMS, or CAT tools.
• Familiarity with YouTube platform requirements, metadata, publishing workflows, and content policies.
• PMP, Agile, Scrum, localization, translation management, or AI/localization certifications.
