Industrial Engineer (Aluminum Machining)

Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States; onsite. Travel is not required. Relocation is available. Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Salary: $62,800–$90,500 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Support manufacturing engineering for machining processes producing primary aluminum engine and drive components for 75 HP and above inboard and outboard engines.
• Develop, establish, update, and maintain manufacturing standards for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
• Maintain product cost standards, manufacturing databases, routings, process flows, and engineering documentation through production audits.
• Analyze production capacity, capabilities, labor requirements, component costing, and mix-model production flow.
• Support new product development by creating and updating production systems integrating workers, machines, materials, and information.
• Lead cross-functional reviews and continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, standardization, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience and extensive knowledge of diverse manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency in lean manufacturing tools, process improvement methodologies, and Microsoft Office.
• Basic understanding of cost accounting and the ability to read engineering drawings and documents.
• Current authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Knowledge of TimerPro, CNC machining, Mazak and Zoller equipment, and tool management systems.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or equivalent 2D drafting software.
• Strong analytical, data analysis, accuracy, focus, flexibility, and independent working skills.
