Environmental Health and Safety Intern

Location: On-site in Davidson, North Carolina, 5 days per week; travel to hirify.global locations across North America is required.

Salary: $20.50–$28.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support safety management systems, standard work, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with risk assessments, industrial hygiene, and ergonomic assessments.
• Contribute to environmental compliance, sustainability, and training initiatives.
• Gain exposure to manufacturing processes and interact with leaders across the organization.
• Evaluate operational issues, identify underlying causes, and help develop informed solutions.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, safety science, environmental engineering, safety management, chemical or mechanical engineering, or occupational risk and safety science.
• Junior or senior standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship is required.
• Strong critical thinking, decision-making, organization, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, and SharePoint.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and willingness to travel across North America.
