What you will do

• Conduct advanced research and prepare, analyze, and review complex financial, tax, and regulatory information.
• Prepare and review financial schedules, reconciliations, bank regulatory reports, SEC reports, shareholder and Board reports, and internal management reports.
• Resolve reporting problems, interpret data, perform variance analysis, and ensure timely report submissions.
• Conduct data integrity testing, prepare general ledger entries, and maintain compliance with GAAP, SEC disclosure requirements, and bank regulatory requirements.
• Lead work allocation, mentor junior staff, review their work, and communicate results to business lines and management.
• Support special projects, process improvements, risk escalation, and internal and external audit requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience, or an associate’s degree and at least 7 years of experience in accounting, auditing, operations, or financial institutions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of finance, accounting, regulatory reporting, business operations, bank products, and the banking industry.
• Advanced PC skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, verbal and written communication, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to apply complex judgment and maintain internal controls, risk standards, and regulatory requirements.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA or CFA.
• Experience with data visualization or data querying applications.
