Design-Build Project Manager (Infrastructure)

Compensation: $259,347.58–$288,163.97 per year

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end Design-Build delivery from capture strategy and preliminary design through construction completion.
• Guide integrated, multidisciplinary teams of 70 or more professionals.
• Own project performance across budget, schedule, scope, risk, and quality.
• Act as the executive client interface for public agencies, municipalities, and key stakeholders.
• Coordinate contractors and joint venture partners during project execution.
• Lead pursuit strategy, proposal development, and construction-phase planning, including change management and QA/QC.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Active New York Professional Engineer license required.
• 20+ years of experience, including recent leadership across design and construction.
• Demonstrated success leading Design-Build projects generating $20M or more in fee revenue.
• Strong expertise in commercial management, budget control, schedule oversight, risk mitigation, and client leadership.
• Experience in contractor-led, joint venture, or integrated Design-Build environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CM/GC, or P3 delivery models.
• Experience winning and delivering major Design-Build projects.
• Knowledge of contract strategy, procurement, and risk allocation.
• Established relationships with NY/NJ agency clients, including NYSDOT, MTA, Port Authority, NJDOT, or Amtrak.
• Experience with digital delivery tools and advanced design technologies.
