Project Manager, Engineering (Design-Build)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States; travel to client or project sites is required as needed.

Salary: $140,000–$175,000 annually, plus a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, and designers across all project phases, from concept through construction administration.
• Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets in alignment with client goals.
• Coordinate quality reviews and ensure design quality and compliance with client and industry standards.
• Act as the primary client contact and support clear communication and decision-making.
• Oversee submittal and RFI reviews and conduct site visits to confirm alignment with design intent.
• Contribute to proposals, presentations, client discussions, and business development efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or college.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering design, construction, or project management.
• 2+ years of experience managing design or project teams.
• Knowledge of advanced manufacturing, food and beverage, consumer, or ecommerce environments and their industry standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Strong client communication, presentation, organizational, leadership, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills.
